“What do you want to do today?”
“I don’t know, what do you want to today?”
“I don’t know, go to Busch Gardens?”
“Maybe, but it’s supposed to rain later. Want to go to the kids museum?”
“Ok, which one?”
These are how many of the weekend mornings start at Ajax and Buttercup’s house. With parents that work during the week, the weekends are a time to kick-back, relax, and have fun. During a recent outing, we were talking about how lucky we are to live in Central Florida. Our proximity to Tampa and Orlando puts us in the middle of two major cities, beaches, parks, fairs, festivals, community events, animals, sports, museums, and all kinds of attractions and theme parks, so when the weekend comes, we have a dizzying number of options to choose from. Frequently, the hardest decision is deciding, which one?
We decided that we wanted to bring you along and discover all of the adventures that Florida has to offer. We have our usual rotation of fun that we will explore with you, and even though the entire family was raised in Florida, we’ll also take you along to the many places we haven’t yet discovered. We’ll post about all of our experiences, and below is the guide that you’ll find on the main page for each destination. So sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
Menu: From appetizers to dessert, these are the dishes they’re serving.
Location: Where you can find your next adventure.
Parking: Frequently one of the most stressful parts of the trip, we try to make this part a little easier.
Good For: Because not every place is child and pet friendly.
Dining: Dining indoors or al fresco, table or booth, and can you bring your four-legged kid, knowing what to expect before you get there can help get everyone to the table faster and easier.
Attire: Know what to pull out of your closet in the state where flip flops are acceptable attire (almost) everywhere you go.
Pet Friendly: One of our kids has four-legs, and fortunately, there are many places in Florida that roll out the welcome mat.
Ajax’s Advice: Ajax delivers insightful tips, advice and observations for kids and parents, written with the wisdom of a pre-schooler.
